Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Remedy Education are excited to be working with a warm, inclusive SEN school in Enfield who are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role involves supporting pupils with autism and additional complex needs. The group is small, closely supported, and full of personality - they need someone who can bring calm, creativity, and consistency to their day.
The right candidate will understand that progress isn't always measured by worksheets. Sometimes it's a shared smile, a new sound, or a moment of calm after a challenge. You'll join a team that celebrates these small but powerful steps forward.
Your role will include:
Working alongside the class teacher to support individual pupil needs and daily routines
Helping create engaging, sensory-based learning experiences
Supporting communication, interaction, and emotional regulation throughout the school day
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience, or a genuine passion, for working with children with autism or complex SEN needs
Brings patience, empathy, and reliability to everything they do
Can remain calm under pressure and see potential in every child
Is eager to learn and be part of a supportive, close-knit team
In return, you'll receive:
A long-term position in a school that truly values its staff and pupils
Guidance and ongoing support from Remedy Education and the school team
Opportunities for professional growth and SEN-specific training
The chance to make a meaningful, lasting difference in the lives of incredible young people
If you're ready for a role that's hands-on, rewarding, and truly impactful, apply today through Remedy Education and take the next step in your SEN journey.
