Job description

A lively energetic primary school situated on the borders of South East London are looking to appoint a TA with SEN experience for their Additional Resource Provision.

The two form entry school with a Nursery attached are looking for a passionate TA with SEN experience who can work 1:1 with a child who has SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs. You will need to be experienced in dealing with children with challenging behaviour.

You will have the following:

  • The capability to work with individual children and groups with a wide range of needs, planning tasks and monitoring children's access to learning.
  • A responsibility to support children whilst boosting independence and self-motivation.
  • An ambition to involve yourself fully and to work as part of a team.

It is required to have a NVQ Level 3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years' teaching assistant experience in a school is essential.
