SEN Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduate)
Romford
£95 - £115 per day | Full-time | Long-term
Remedy Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a Psychology degree to join a supportive and inclusive school in Romford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate who is looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), including autism (ASD), ADHD, social and emotional needs (SEMH), and other learning difficulties.
The school is well-resourced and has a strong focus on helping every pupil reach their full potential, both academically and emotionally.
The role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Support pupils' emotional regulation and wellbeing using positive behaviour strategies
Help create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Use your understanding of psychology to support learning and emotional development
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a degree in Psychology (or a closely related field)
Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable)
Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS certificate
