Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant needed in Woodford Green, Redbridge!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant for a high needs SEN/PMLD secondary class. Responsibilities:

  • De-escalate and support emotional co-regulation, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Use communication strategies such as coreboards and AAC systems to help students express themselves and engage in learning.
  • Implement the SPELL Framework to structure the learning environment effectively for each student's unique needs.
  • Promote sensory regulation, helping students manage sensory challenges and stay focused on their learning.

  • Candidates with relevant qualifications and experience in special educational needs.
  • Experience using coreboards or AAC systems to enhance student communication.
  • Skills in de-escalation techniques and emotional support for students.
  • Understanding of the SPELL Framework and sensory regulation strategies.
