This is a new opportunity, working with an OSTED Outstanding SEN School in Southwark. High performing and fast growing, this is a school that will offer the successful SEN Teacher numerous opportunities to grow and develop in their career.

This all through SEN School supports pupils aged 3-19 years of age. Continually growing, they currently have three sites, with a fourth site to open in Southwark at the end of the academic year. The successful SEN Teacher will be based at one site, in a class based teaching role.

The school has 3 curriculum pathways: one supporting learners from EYF-KS1 through a semi-formal pathway, one for learners at lower KS2 through semi-formal pathway and one for learners from KS1-KS4 in a formal curriculum pathway. Much of the curriculum is based around EYF learning.

This position is suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers and NQTs are encouraged to apply. The school is well structured to provide effective support for NQTs and for mainstream teachers transitioning to SEN schools for the first time. They offer a full induction before beginning class teaching as well as further education and training opportunities. They are able to support Newly Qualified Teachers to complete their induction year.

Experience as a SEN Teacher is highly desired but candidates with mainstream qualifications will be considered if they have relevant SEN experience.

  • Supports pupils with the following needs: SpLD - Specific Learning Difficulty, VI - Visual Impairment, SLCN - Speech, language and Communication, ASD - Autistic Spectrum Disorder, SEMH - Social, Emotional and Mental Health, MSI - Multi-Sensory Impairment, PD - Physical Disability, MLD - Moderate Learning Difficulty and PMLD - Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulty
