Are you a QTS holding teacher, with experience of supporting pupils with SEN needs, specifically with hearing impairments? Do you have experience of using Makaton or British Sign Language (BSL)?

The Job:

Remedy Education are looking for a Qualified Teacher with experience within the SEN sector. You will have strong classroom management. You will be able to adapt quickly within a department and be a team player, and be able to confidently deliver a curriculum to children with hearing impairments.

Your day will be varied, engaging children in the classroom to access learning, complete their work, and reach their potential. You'll take initiative, be resilient, and drive pupils to achieve and progress. You'll work on learning activities, promote confidence and effective communication, and encourage pupils to act independently to succeed.

You'll be kept busy, working to plan, prepare, deliver, and assess a cross-curriculum programme of learning to secondary aged pupils with hearing impairments across Key Stage three (KS3) and Key Stage four (KS4). Your day will be varied, engaging children in the classroom to access learning, complete their work, and reach their potential. You'll take initiative, be resilient, and drive pupils to achieve and progress. You'll work on learning activities, promote confidence and effective communication, and encourage pupils to act independently to succeed.

You will have experience of working with children with diagnosed Special Educational Needs. You will be able to adapt quickly within the department and be a team player. You must be UK qualified with QTS. Both experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) are encouraged to apply.

You'll be:

* A Qualified Primary Teacher in possession of QTS
* Experience of young people with hearing impairments
* Experience working with secondary aged pupils in Key stage 3 (KS3) and Key stage 4 (KS4)

* Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
* Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions
