With small class sizes and strong multidisciplinary support, the school takes a holistic approach to education - focusing on both academic progress and personal growth.

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to work with a KS4/KS5 class of students with ASC, complex needs, and communication difficulties. You'll plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet pupils' individual needs, supported by a skilled team of Teaching Assistants and therapists.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and adaptable teacher who wants to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and support students in KS4/KS5 with ASC, severe learning needs, and communication difficulties.

  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets and abilities.

  • Adapt teaching approaches and resources to engage students of varying needs and levels.

  • Foster a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and the wider SEN team.

  • Encourage independence, communication, and personal development.

  • Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate and meaningful records.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching or supporting students with ASC, complex learning difficulties, or communication needs.

  • Knowledge of strategies for managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.

Why Join This School?

  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative, experienced SEN team.

  • Small classes and excellent staff-to-student ratios.

  • Ongoing professional development opportunities.

  • A chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people with diverse and complex needs.

If you're a passionate SEN Teacher looking for a fulfilling role supporting students with autism, complex needs, and communication challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
