Looking for a role in a post 16 facility in South East London?

Do you enjoy supporting students with special educational needs?

Would you like to have an impact on the education of individuals with additional needs?

A large post 16 facility in south east London require a Learning Support Assistant to provide high quality support for specific classes and subjects across the curriculum and to support pupils with varying levels of need. The needs supported range from academic support to assisting those with higher level needs.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs and also be someone who is seeking a full-time position during term time. The role could be in an education capacity or in a role such as providing personal care and assistance.

This role will include;

  • informing and advising other support staff deployed in lessons to enable them to effectively support students' learning
  • ensuring effective communication with, and between, staff and students
  • delivering particular strategies and programmes for students
  • Supporting individuals or small groups with their academic and social progress
  • to lead on general support duties including behaviour and learning

This School caters for children aged between 16 -19. They have a large site with high quality teaching and the school has around 1300 pupils on role. Within this post 16 facility there is an inclusion unit that supports around over 100 pupils with many and various needs.
