Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: South London

Contract: Long Term

Start: ASAP

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Rate: £90-105 per day

Are you looking for an amazing SEMH Teaching Assistant ?

At Remedy we are seeking three dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant who is willing to shape the future of young pupils Our client is a Secondary school based in south London, if you are looking to travel via transport there are excellent transport networks. This brand new SEMH Teaching Assistant role will require you to support a vunerable year 8 girl with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health).

The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide personalized support to students with SEMH needs, fostering growth through tailored interventions.
  • Bring individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans to life, ensuring each student's unique needs are met.
  • Cultivate an environment of positivity and inclusivity, nurturing the social and emotional well-being of our extraordinary students.
  • Collaborate closely with passionate educators and professionals to create a holistic approach to student development.
  • Assist students in honing effective communication and social skills for lifelong success.
  • Employ positive behaviour management strategies, turning challenges into opportunities for growth.
  • Encourage and facilitate student engagement in classroom activities, making learning an exciting journey.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an SEN and supporting students with SEMH.
  • Bring a patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Showcase strong communication and interpersonal skills that resonate with our unique community.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment, working seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with innovative behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
