Job description

Science Teacher required to deliver GCSE Science to small classes of Key Stage 4 students.

We are looking for a qualified Science Teacher to join a small, experienced team of teaching and support staff at a brilliant Secondary School.

This role requires a Science Teacher with good classroom management skills and ideally, some experience working with children.

As a Science Teacher your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality science lessons as a Science Teacher to students at Key Stage 4
  • Making learning fun for students and inspiring a love for all things Science
  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans as a Science Teacher that cater to students' individual needs
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support as a Science Teacher to students to enhance their understanding of scientific concepts
  • Monitoring student progress, setting goals, and providing constructive feedback
  • Collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students

To excel as a Science Teacher in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant subject specialism as a Science Teacher
  • Experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 as a Science Teacher
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science as a Science Teacher
  • Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs as a Science Teacher
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Science Teacher
