Job description

Remedy Education is proud to be working alongside a dynamic and forward-thinking school in Greenwich. This partnership is all about innovation and creating a positive experience for both staff and students. By working together, we've developed a comprehensive induction programme with tailored training and ongoing support to help you excel from day one.

Forget the traditional, long-winded applications and formal school tours. We believe in a more straightforward approach that offers a real insight into the school. This Science Technician role begins as a temporary position, giving you the chance to get to know the school's environment before deciding if it's the right place for you. We're confident that, once you're here, you'll see the value of joining our team - with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Tailored Support: Bespoke training and expert guidance from the school and our team to ensure a smooth start in your role.
  • Staff-Centric Process: Our recruitment approach is designed with you in mind - quick, easy, and focused on what matters most.
  • Career Development: A school that values professional growth and provides opportunities for ongoing development.
  • Path to Perm: Begin on a temporary basis and, if it's a great match, move into a permanent role.
  • Accessible Location: Greenwich offers an easy and pleasant commute from surrounding areas, making it a convenient place to work.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain science equipment and materials for practical lessons, ensuring everything is ready for smooth-running classes.
  • Assist teaching staff with experiments and practicals, providing technical support during lessons.
  • Ensure all science equipment and resources are properly stored, maintained, and comply with health and safety guidelines.
  • Play a key role in maintaining a safe and organised laboratory environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Science Technician or laboratory role, ideally within a school environment.
  • An Enhanced DBS and Children's Barred List Check, or the willingness to obtain one.

Benefits of Joining Us:

  • Access to a full employee benefits package.
  • Opportunities for continued professional development and career growth.
  • Confidential employee counselling and support services.

Remedy Education, we're committed to helping schools build thriving environments for both students and staff. This Science Technician role offers a fantastic opportunity to be a part of that mission in Greenwich.
