School Receptionist / Admin & Safeguarding Support - September Start - SEMH Performing Arts College, Islington

Remedy Education are working with a fantastic SEMH Performing Arts College in Islington who are looking to appoint a School Receptionist/Administrator from September. This is a varied role where you will not only manage reception duties but also play a key part in supporting general administration and safeguarding processes.

The Successful Candidate Will Be:

  • Friendly, professional, and confident when dealing with staff, students, and visitors

  • Experienced in reception or administrative work (school-based experience desirable)

  • Proactive, well-organised, and able to manage competing priorities

  • Comfortable supporting safeguarding processes and handling sensitive information discreetly

  • A team player who can adapt quickly and support the wider admin team

  • IT literate (SIMS knowledge desirable but not essential)

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Welcoming visitors, staff, and students to the college and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed

  • Operating the college reception/switchboard, handling calls and messages efficiently

  • Supporting safeguarding administration, including maintaining records and liaising with the safeguarding lead

  • Carrying out general admin tasks such as word processing, filing, post, and preparing documents

  • Assisting with student references, attendance admin, and documentation for external agencies

  • Helping to organise reception cover and ensuring the reception area is always welcoming and professional

  • Providing flexible support to the admin team across different areas of the college
