Job description

School Receptionist job in Lambeth - Ongoing temporary role

During these challenging and difficult times Remedy Education are continuing to work as normal to provide high levels of service to our candidates and clients. Whilst schools are currently closed or working with a vastly reduced skeleton staff and are not necessarily recruiting right now, once they reopen they will need additional support. I am looking to register School Receptionists to be available for when schools are back up and running. Please see below the requirements for the role and contact me asap to start the registration process.

Your new role
In your new role you will be required to man the busy reception area, at times taking sole responsibility for the smooth running of the reception.

Key duties include:

- Meeting and greeting visitors, pupils, staff and parents at the front desk
- You will be responsible for answering the telephone and directing all calls to the appropriate personnel
- General ad hoc administrative duties within the office using SIMS

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have prior experience working in a receptionist role, preferably within a education setting. Ideally, you will have a DBS registered to the Update Service - if not, you must be willing to apply for a new DBS at a cost of £40. School systems knowledge would be an advantage; Integris, SIMS, Scholar Pack etc. Manning a busy reception area in a school is an extremely demanding role and you must be able to multi-task.
