Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Practitioner to work within an Emergency Duty Team (EDT) for a Local Authority based in South London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified social worker who is also an approved Mental health Professional to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) within a Local Authority based in South London.

This is an 18 hour/week post (average) with scope to do some extra hours.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on a rolling rota shift pattern. You will be required to work weekday nights, weekend working (including nights) and bank holidays.

About the Role

The EDT responds to social work emergencies which need addressing outside normal office hours and which cannot wait until the next working day. Work is generated across all areas of social work to include vulnerable adults, children and families and Mental health services.

This specific role will be to deal with all requests for Mental health Act assessments and adult referrals out of hours. The successful candidate will provide an "emergency out of hours" response for residents across the Borough. The candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to lone work.

The successful applicant will need to have access to a vehicle in order to carry out this role effectively.

Must be HCPC registered and also an experienced AMHP worker.
