Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within a Referral and Assessment Team for a Local Authority based in South London.

Job Purpose

The Assessment service is a referral and assessment service, safeguarding children from the front door into Children's Services. The work is a mixture of section 17, 47, CLA and initiating Care proceedings. There are 6 social work teams in the service, rotating duty cover one week in every six.

Case Load:

Variable, but manageable- average case load is 20 children (including sibling groups) per social worker.

Please list essential requirements for the role:

1. Child and family focused, passionate about outcomes for children
2. Ability to write succinct, analitical assessments that focus on the child's journey, including appropriate use of research to evidence recommendations
3. Excellent risk assessment skill's, ability to manage safe uncertainty
4. Ability to progress work within statutory and departmental timescales

Essential experience required:

Must have 5 years experience of working in Assessments for the Advanced / Senior social work role, must have 3 years experience for the experienced social work role
