Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within a Mental Health Team for a Local Authority based in North London.

Job Purpose

• We are looking for an experienced mental health social worker to join their mental health review team.
• The ideal candidate must have experience of strength-based reviews and assessments as well as up to date experience of reviewing adults with mental illness.
• This project is designed to empower their service user population and decrease care packages where it is felt that this could be more beneficial to the service user.
• The borough has a number of people in residential and nursing placements who may now be ready to move on. Support will be given from another member of the team who is well versed in strengths based approaches and the resources and processes in the Borough where a person has a care co-ordinator the social work may also be advising them how to carry out the review in a strengths based way.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent and empathetic communicator who can put service users at their ease at a time when they may be worried about their changing circumstances, as well as being confident liaising with commissioners, multi- disciplinary mental health teams and carers. It will be expected that the person has previous experience working within the mental health field and a track record of reviewing people successfully. Knowledge of how to input into the LAS/liguid logic system will be particularly desirable.

You will need to be:
