Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within a Looked After Children's Team (LAC) for a Local Authority based in South London.

Job Details

Children Looked After Service, to take individual and collective professional responsibility for championing the council's diversity agenda, proactively implementing initiatives which secure equality of access and outcomes. Commit to continually developing personal understanding of diversity.

Social workers make recommendations to managers which have cost implications, some of which can be significant e.g. placement costs.

Social workers are responsible for:

reaching evidence-based professional judgements, recommendations and plans in situations of need and risk.

making professional decisions that impact on the safety and well-being of children and young people.

making decisions that ensure compliance with statutory requirements and Councils practice standards in respect of the protection and well-being of children in need and looked after children.
