Job description

Qualified Social Worker - Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council - Adult Front Door Team - £30ph!

The team consists of Social Workers, Social Care Officers, Referral and Information Officers and Occupational therapists. Together we are the first point of contact for residents and professionals who need advice and support from a range of services, agencies or community offers. The team works closely with partners such as NWAS, GMP , Stockport Family and ASC teams to triage and prioritise referrals to ensure people receive a timely and appropriate response to their enquiry.

As a Social Worker you will :

  • Triage and prioritise referrals so that the person receives the right support at the right time.
  • Respond to statutory and non statutory safeguarding issues and hold Team around the Adult Meetings to support people to manage risk
  • Hold a small short term case load
  • Enjoy networking and multi-agency working, be confident in working with people living with risk and be flexible, resilient and creative.
  • Work with people to maximise their strengths and assets
  • Contribute Social Work expertise to the team

You will be joining a service area where strong collaborative relationships already exists between partners such as Stockport Homes, the Police, Drug and Alcohol Team and Community Services.
