About the role
We have a School we work in partnership with based in Southwark, South East London, who are seeking a candidate to work within an Oustanding Primary school. Typically, they have found Psychology graduates suit the resource base and have a passion for working with children with SEN.
Supporting pupils 1:1 with their work, helping them achieve the best outcome. As well as ensuring the pupils feel comfortable in School and work to the best of their ability.
This primary school are seeking a psychology graduate who is enthusiastic and wanting to work with pupils with special educational needs.

As a Psychology Graduate, this SEN TA role will involve you supporting various classes. You will have the responsibility of coordinating with the teachers in the school and helping create a motivating environment where pupils are excited and task focused!
The pupils you will be supporting will mainly have social emotional and mental health (SEMH). This can include pupils who have behaviour difficulties and find it hard to focus in class and become disruptive, being able to adapt your support style and having a psychology background helps.

What does the Psychology Graduate need to have?
The successful graduate must have a minimum of a 2:2 degree. Any enhanced training or knowledge of specific behavioural/language therapies will be extremely advantageous. You will receive training within this role but fundamental experience into this area of the curriculum is a must.
Also to work within this school the graduate must attain a child work force DBS when going into the school!
