Psychology Graduate Opportunity - Teaching Assistant - LSA - Greenwich

Are you a recent Psychology graduate with an interest in working with students who have a range of learning and behavioural needs?

If so, then we can help to kick start your career by supporting you with finding paid work in our schools across South East London.

The opportunity:

This is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring educational psychologist, youth justice worker, prison liaison officer or behaviour mentor, amongst other career pathways. You can utilise this opportunity to gain quality, first-hand experience in a specialist school environment. You will have the opportunity to work with SEMH needs, Autism and students with complex needs that will also require support with personal care. The schools we work with will be closely matched to your skills, interests and career aspirations.

These school settings support some of the most vulnerable children and young people in society and they can be incredibly challenging environments at times. In order to make the most of these opportunities you must have the right objectives and motivations in order to apply. With the right mind set, attitude and career goals these opportunities are the perfect next step in following your graduation.

Summary:

***Enabling SEMH and Autistic students to access the best education they can, setting up them up with objectives for when they leave school

***Working closely with art, occupational and speech and language therapists to implement a holistic, restorative approach to learning and behaviour management

***Positive re-enforcement and confidence building

***Working in a classroom setting and providing 1:1 support outside of the class

***Fantastic CPD provided by teachers and tutors, ideal if you're planning on starting an MSc in the future

***You will be working with like minded Psychology Graduates, with similar objectives

***Up to £80 per day, LSA role is for the academic year to July 2022, hours are 8.15am to 16.15pm
