Primary Teaching Assistant - Support ASD and challenging behaviour

Q* - Are you a graduate seeking a long-term SEN Primary Teaching Assistant* opportunity that will impress on any master's or job application?

Situated close to the sought-after area of Deptford , South East London, this flourishing primary school requires a multi-talented Graduate with a passion for mental health and children, to support 1:1 with a Year 1 student who has ASD and Challenging behaviour.

With plenty of training opportunities available, you will receive excellent support throughout the academic year.

ROLE: SEN Primary Teaching Assistant - ASD (Autism) focus - Year 1

HOURS: Full time: 8:30am to 4:30pm

PERSON: Must be a Graduate with a focus on working with Psychology or SEN.

ACADEMIC: 1st class or 2:1 degree and strong academic background essential!

SCHOOL: Creative and Supportive Primary School with training opportunities, state of the art facilities and vibrant outdoor area!

LOCATION: Deptford, South East London

Pay: £70 - £85 per day

Start: ASAP

As a focused ASD Teaching Assistant, you will undertake a variety of duties throughout the week, splitting your time between Year 1 & 2. You will be supporting specific children on the autistic spectrum with their learning in Reading, Writing, Phonics and Maths. This will also require small group interventions to target specific learning goals and monitor their progress.

This role will give you a wide and varied range of experience perfect for Clinical or Educational Psychology career!
