PMLD Teaching Assistant - Havering

Are you looking for a revitalising and refreshing new start to your career working with SEND schools?

Starting immediately, Remedy Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them, the position would be a full-time temporary position with an opportunity to go permanent. The position is within a special school in Havering.

You will be part of a well-resourced Special School. The main aim is to provide a thriving, friendly community where staff and parents work together to ensure all pupils reach their full potential. The school caters to students between the ages 4-19 with a range of needs including PMLD and ASD. The school provides excellent facilities for both staff and students.

The Role:
- Providing support to students with severe and complex educational needs and helping them achieve their best within their studies
- Helping young adults attain the skills and knowledge required to transition into adult services
- Working alongside teachers, support staff and specialised professionals to best aid individual students and cater towards their personal development

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with complex or PMLD needs is essential
- An enthusiastic, committed and understanding character who is able to form relations with these children to best aid them
- Have an understanding of safeguarding
- Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A flexible schedule would be valuable
