Rate: £90 - £105 per day

Start: September 2024

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Do you want to be a PMLD teaching Assistant at newly established school?

We are looking for a fantastic PMLD Support Assistant in Greenwich to work with children You'll have to adapt your learning and make sure that you're able to support children who have difficulties with their learning. You will be working with a year 2 girl in a 1:1 setting. She is verbal but wheelchairbound, so there would be some personal care.

This is a reputable Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) school, with really good resources to help the children learn . The staff are extremely friendly and approachable and are looking for another person to join their incredible team. These guys are experienced professionals inside their field, so the staff are more than willing to help you.

Ideal Candidate:

• A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
• Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
• To be patient when working with the children
• The mindset to strive in a new environment
• Supporting students with PMLD mostly on a 1:1 basis
• Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid and welfare.
• To be patient when working with the children.
• The mindset to strive in a new environment.
• Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student.
• Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and SEN professionals.
• Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements.

Standard Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN ideally PMLD
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
