Role: PMLD Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full Time

Rate: £90 - £105 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Location: Charlton, Greenwich

Remedy Education are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant in Greenwich to work with children who have Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You'll have to adapt your learning and make sure that you're able to support children who have difficulties with their learning. This position is a full-time, long-term role which means it has plenty of potential of becoming a permanent position.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
  • Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student

  • Supporting students with PMLD mostly on a 1:1 basis
  • Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid and welfare.

  • Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and SEN professionals.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements.

Standard Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN ideally PMLD
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
