Role: PMLD Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full Time

Rate: £90 - £105 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Location: Charlton, Greenwich

Remedy Education are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant in Greenwich to work with children who have Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a flourishing primary school. You'll have to adapt your learning and make sure that you're able to support children who have difficulties with their learning. This position is a full-time, long-term role which means it has plenty of potential of becoming a permanent position.

Ideal Candidate:

• A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
• Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
• To be patient when working with the children

• Supporting students with PMLD mostly on a 1:1 basis
• Attend to pupils' personal care needs, including social health, hygiene, firstaid and welfare
• Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
• Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and SEN professionals
• Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

Standard Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN ideally PMLD
• Previous experience working with personal care for younger pupils
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure (Not Mandatory as we can do one for you)
• Legal right to work in the UK
