London Borough of Barking & Dagenham are looking for a Senior Operations Manager (Street Cleansing).

• Pay rate £27hr (Could be negotiated).

Job Purpose

• To manage the operational Cleaner Community services delivered in the borough. Cleaner Community services consist of street cleansing, caretaking, deep cleansing and rapid response, bulky waste, fly-tipping, graffiti, pest control, probation and community payback services, ensuring the service delivers the corporate objectives of Encouraging civic pride; Enabling social responsibility; and Growing the borough.
• To be the Council's lead officer for operational Cleaner Community service delivery, implementation and improvement, with service excellence and customer satisfaction the key measurements of performance.
• To work corporately both across the Council, the local community and the Council's partners to deliver the Council's objectives in relation to Cleaner Communities, meeting the service excellence performance indicators of the Council and the expectations of the community which it serves.
• Support the Customer Services Strategy in the development of the Council's approach to provide excellent, value for money, customer focussed services. This includes leading on delivering targets, translating corporate objectives, the local priorities and the government definitions of excellence to deliver customer focused service outcomes.
• Support the Operational Director - Public Realm to plan the deployment of resources and ensure that the borough benefits from excellent and improving standards of Cleaner Communities services.
• Manage line staff as required in addition to reporting on capital and revenue budgets as applicable.
