Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within a East London Local Authority.

Job Purpose

The main functions of the service which supports adults over the age of 18 with care and support needs are as follows:

• Undertake Care Act 2014 compliant reassessments utilising a strengths based approach
• Maximise the use of universal service provision including the voluntary sector to support people with care and support needs
• Focus on the promotion of independence through consideration of Reablement, Making Every Contact Count and Assistive Technology solutions, Moving and handling techniques including single handed care, Equipment and Adaptations.
• Complete creative, outcome focussed care and support plans that include contingency planning
• Undertake Carer assessments in accordance with the Care Act 2014 requirements
• Provide an Adult Social Care service to locality based multi-disciplinary team hubs
• To manage all clinical and professional aspects of complex casework for all age groups, where appropriate, promote independence using evidence-based occupational therapy assessment, intervention, planning and reviewing/evaluation skills, and ensure they establish the appropriate level of personal budget in order to meet eligible care and support needs
• To support the team manager / senior staff in order to deliver the key strategic aims of the organisation and to deputise for the Senior OT as required dealing with the day-to-day management and organisation of a specific team
• Lead on safeguarding issues for open cases where people are at risk of abuse, harm, or neglect and ensure their safety through the application of the Safeguarding Policy and procedures

You will need to be:

HCPC registered
