Q - Are you looking to gain some SEN experience at a fantastic Primary school?

An excellent Primary school in Greenwich is looking for a male SEN Teaching assistant to work with a range of primary pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism (ASC), ADHD and PMLD. This role will also involve you supervising the boys' changing room during PE, and possibly during swimming lessons, hence the male focus element to the role.

The primary school has an excellent support staff team who are committed to ensuring the pupils get the most from their education. If you are a graduate with a strong academic background and experience of working SEN, then this is the ideal full-time, long-term role for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Male Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Focus on supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) and some SENs such as Autism (ASC) and ADHD.
  • Working alongside the Class Teacher and team of multi-disciplinary therapists
  • Start: September 2019- July 2020, Full-Time
  • £80 - £90 per day, paid weekly
  • Private medical Healthcare package included
  • Interviews to be arranged before the summer term ends
  • Located in Greenwich

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have a degree from a reputable University - Psychology or related
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable
  • Must be confident within your ability and look to go above and beyond for the child
  • Strong passion for behaviour management is require
