Job description

We are looking for a committed Male Teaching Assistant TA who are willing to provide the best academic support to primary school pupils. This rewarding role will involve you supporting a young boy in year 6 in a classroom at one of our leading primary schools in London. The role will require someone who is enthusiastic and have a positive approach. The pupil is high functioning and pretty well behaved but just needs some additional support with their work.

Role: Male Teaching Assistant - Primary

Location: Herne Hill, South East London

Contract: Full time

Start: ASAP

Rate: £95-105

Ideal Candidate:

  • Supervising and supporting pupils
  • Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies
  • Supporting with behaviour management
  • Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals
  • Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
  • Bring a patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • DBS on the update service (Not Mandatory as we can do one for you)
