Job description

Male Teaching Assistant - Greenwich SEN Secondary School - Behaviour Focus

An Outstanding Secondary SEN School in Greenwich are seeking a Male Teaching Assistant. We are specifically seeking a male to work with a KS3 child with behavioural needs. The child is awaiting diagnosis but is believed to have ADHD and be on the autistic spectrum.

This role does not involve personal care, but will involve monitoring him in break times, taking him to the toilet (unassisted) and working in class and out of class.

Experience working with children with behavioural difficulties will be beneficial, but not essential. We are looking for someone that is resilient, patient and passionate about making a difference. This Teaching Assistant position may be challenging to begin with, but incredibly rewarding too.

Male Teaching Assistant:

  • Full Time, full academic year minimum
  • £70 - £85 per day dependant on experience
  • At a mainstream, inclusive primary school with free parking on site
  • Well supported by the SENCO, class teachers and external professionals such as therapists and psychologists.

Experience with SEN is not required, but experience with children will of course make it easier for you to secure a Teaching Assistant position. Apply today! If shortlisted, you will be contacted by your dedicated consultant within 48hrs.

If you are a female interested in a similar position, please apply regardless as we have similar roles across south London working with girls with behavioural difficulties.
