Job description

Male SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with a Secondary SEN school in Bromley. They are recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work full time until the end of the academic year.

There are around 100 students on roll with a number of needs including SEMH, ASD, communication and learning difficulties.

They have a very therapeutic approach and offer alternative projects, such as music and sound engineering as a way for students to vent their frustrations through music or Art.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an SEN school or alternative provision. The selected applicant will work 1:1 with a male student who has Autism and behaviour difficulties. At present the student is outside of the classroom, therefore under the guidance of the teachers you will deliver all planned work in a separate room. You may also be required to stay with the student during his lunch breaks.

In return the school offer a vibrant working environment and excellent rates of pay.
