At Remedy we are seeking a learning support assistant to work at one of our top secondary schools in South East London. Most importantly we want the ideal candidate to be someone willing to shape the future of young pupil's mind and make a positive impact to students.

Role: Learning Support Assistant

Start Date: September Start

Location: Borough Greenwich

Rate: Salary: £90 - £115 per day

Contract: Temp to Perm

Responsibilities:

  • Whilst working as a Remedy Learning Support Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Providing one-on-one support: Working closely with students to provide individualised assistance, ensuring they have the necessary support to reach their full potential.
  • Assisting with classroom activities: Collaborating with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment, adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Promoting independence: Encouraging and supporting students to develop independence and confidence in their academic and social skills.
  • Monitoring and reporting: Keeping track of student progress and behaviour and providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND): Utilising your experience with SEND to provide tailored assistance and accommodations as needed.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
  • Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
  • Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
