Learning Support Assistant - SEN School - Enfield, North London

Remedy are looking for an experienced learning support assistant to support our school based in Enfield, North London.

We are currently looking for a confident and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND school on a long-term basis immediately, until the end of term.

The role

You will be working with a mixed aged small class of pupils with moderate learning disabilities and ASD who are all working a similar academic level. The pupils will have good communication skills and be able to work in small groups either within or towards National Curriculum levels and will be likely to move on from the school into further education or employment. You will support all pupils in the class throughout your weekly duties.

This role is offered on a contract basis until the end of the academic year but could become permanent in the new academic year.

The School

This specialist SEN schools caters for students from 11 - 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and/or disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorder. All students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education Health and Care Plan. The school offers a welcoming, caring and highly person-centered approach in supporting all students to maximize independence and achieve their aspirations through a rich, personalised curriculum. Facilities at the school are good and they have their own forest school.
