Contract: Full time

Rate: £90-£110 per day

Setting: Secondary

Do you wish to take on an KS1 Teaching Assistant role? If so, we are looking for an exciting KS1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our leading secondary schools for the new term. You will be supporting a small group of SEN students. There will be sensory play involved and PECS. AS a nuturing KS1 Teaching Assistant we want you to deliver the best support to these children as well as liasing with other educational professionals.

The ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.

KS1 Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
• Safeguarding experience.
• Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
