Remedy Education work closely with a local School in the Camden area who looking to appoint a KS1 Learning Support Assistant to join them immediately. You will be working 1:1 and in small groups with SEN children to help them reach their full potential.

This is a full-time, term time only position.

The School

The school welcomes young people with a range of special education needs from diverse backgrounds with the intention to create a safe and happy environment for them to succeed and become well rounded individuals.

The school is located close to transport links and is easily accessible.

Ideal Candidate

Have previous experience working children or young people ideally as a LSA, Teaching Assistant or similar role in a schools setting

Previous experience PRU or SEN school is a bonus!

Strong behaviour management skills

SEND experience: ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Complex needs, Non-verbal etc.

Strong behaviour management

Certificates / Training in SEN: PECs, Team Teach, Makaton (desirable)

Requirements

• Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an Enhanced 'Child Workforce only' DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
• Minimum of 2 references from previous employers
• The school is currently interviewing / trialling.
