KS1 General Teaching Assistant
Wandsworth, South West London
ASAP start
8.30am until 3.45pm, term time only
£75 - £90 per day
Remedy Education are currently supporting a large Primary School in Wandsworth, who are recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to support a class of 30. This would suit a graduate, who is keen to explore support roles before perhaps moving into teaching. They are seeking a strong, confident, and engaging graduate who is passionate about education. You will be taken on as a teaching assistant- supporting pupils in the classroom, carefully guiding and helping them to make good progress in key areas. Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges is a must, as you will be supporting key stage 2 pupils in small groups, or on a one-to-one level. This is a strong and supportive school that is passionate about developing young teaching talent. You will be supported, guided and given a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils who are genuinely excited about learning and making excellent progress.

Main Duties
- Be responsible for assisting with a group of children, ensuring their personal and development needs are met.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures at all times
- Work with the KS1 lead
- The ability to interact with children to impact on their teaching and learning.
- Attend INSET and Full staff meetings when required.
- Undertake any other professional duties that may be reasonably assigned
Requirements:
- GCSE English & Mathematics or equivalent at grade A-C
- Experience working with young children and/or Aspiring Teacher
- Excellent communication skills to deal with both colleagues and parents
- A passion for supporting children in education, be energetic, enthusiastic and motivated
