Inclusion Teaching Assistant | Secondary School | Immediate Trial | East London
Role: Inclusion Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP
Location: E17, East London
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Part Time / Full Time
Rate: £90 - £115 per day
Interviews: Immediate Trial
At Remedy we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Inclusion Teaching Assistant who has experience working with SEN pupils or those with severe behavioural concerns. As an inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will be working in the inclusion hub within a mainstream secondary school.
As an Inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other education professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.
About the School:
This school is a flourishing SEN secondary school which has a main site and an inclusion site. You will be supporting those pupils who have been elected to study in the inclusion department for various academic/behaviour reasons.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
Requirements:
- Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
- Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
- Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
