Job description

ICT Teacher

Lambeth

April 2021

An outstanding Special Needs School in Lambeth is recruiting a dynamic ICT teacher to start ASAP. This is a full-time teaching post, via the agency.

The school is in a brand-new purpose-built building, catering for secondary children with Autism and communication difficulties. As well as offering students an engaging curriculum, they also work hard to develop communication and social skills. The school has excellent facilities, offering a wealth of resources to students.

Shortlisted candidates must have proven experience of teaching in the UK, ideally within a SEN school, however the school are happy to meet with mainstream teachers, who have an interest in special needs. They are keen to speak with primary trained teachers, as although a secondary setting, students are working at primary level. This position is also open to NQTs.

You will have a solid understanding of the ICT curriculum, planning engaging and differentiated lessons. With input from the student and parents, you will write and review IEPs. You will work alongside occupational and language therapists, to provide first class lessons that are individualised for each child's needs.

As a long-term member of staff, you will be expected to attend inset days, meetings, and parents' evenings.

As a high achieving school, they are keen to employ staff who are dedicated and have a real passion for SEN.

Key Skills:

  • QTS
  • Qualified to teach primary curriculum and confident teaching ICT
  • Experience within a UK school
  • Be available full time for 2 terms
  • Experience and understanding of Autism and communication needs

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required to apply for an Enhanced DBS if your current DBS is not on the update service.

Remedy Education is a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and therefore will not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation.

If you are looking for a rewarding role in SEND and want to make difference, we want to hear from you! Please submit your CV today or you can contact Carly Walters on, 0208 418 1390.
