Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher with a talent for bringing History, Geography, and RE to life?

Would you thrive in a school that puts individual learning, inclusion, and emotional development at the heart of everything it does?

A forward-thinking SEN school in Enfield is looking for a dynamic Humanities Teacher to join their supportive and skilled team this September. The school caters to students aged 7-17 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and related social, emotional, and learning needs.

This is a truly rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in a purpose-built, low-arousal learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and personal growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering engaging and accessible lessons in History, Geography, and RE across KS2-KS4

  • Adapting the curriculum to meet diverse needs and EHCP targets

  • Creating a calm, inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive

  • Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to support holistic development

  • Using creativity, patience, and empathy to inspire learners who may have found mainstream education challenging

We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Humanities at KS3/KS4 (KS2 experience a bonus)

  • A strong understanding or keen interest in Autism and SEN education

  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to teaching

  • The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

What the School Offers:

  • A collaborative, well-resourced setting with an experienced leadership team

  • Small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios

  • Ongoing CPD in therapeutic, trauma-informed and inclusive practices

  • A clear path to permanent employment and career development

  • A school culture rooted in respect, empathy, and high aspirations

This is more than just a teaching role - it's a chance to be part of something meaningful, where every day you'll be making a difference.

If you're ready to teach with purpose, inspire young minds, and grow in a specialist setting that values your skills - we want to hear from you.
