Housing Reviews & Projects Officer

Remedy Recruitment are working in partnership with a local authority in Essex and are seeking an experienced Housing Reviews & Projects Officer.

**Salary- Negotiable**

**Full Time**

**Start Date- ASAP**

Main Duties and Responsibilities-

• To assess and respond to appeals against any decisions made in relation to the rejection of a housing application, suspension or cancellation of application for any reason, discharge of duty into the private sector, homelessness decisions and suitability of accommodation.
  * Timely handling of all legal enquiries and challenges; expert input into members enquiries and complaints
  * Working closely with the Housing Solutions service to develop the service in readiness for the Homelessness Reduction Act.
  * Review all standard letters and procedures to achieve best standards both now and when the new Act takes effect
  * Maintaining the integrity of all relevant data relating to the appeals and reviews
  * Attending local relevant forums and meetings as and when required
  * Undertaking other relevant projects as required across the Housing Solutions services
