Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Housing Programme Director to work for Cornwall Council.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a person who has knowledge and experience of delivery a housing programme. This should include experience of delivering of a range of supply side capital interventions to meet a range of housing needs but also experience of demand management and homelessness prevention.

Over the next 3 months there is a need to reset our Housing Programme, by bringing together our existing plans into a coherent programme, resolve existing barriers to delivery and establish a platform to enable a medium-term delivery plan to be prepared. We have put in place a very experience interim Programme Manager for the Programme Director to work with. We are putting in place a small team from our existing staff to solely focus on this work. We are expecting this person to work with the Programme Manager, Service Director for Planning and Housing and the Head of Housing Delivery and Regeneration to harness the collective brilliance in our teams and make a step change in the way we work.

We require someone who is capable of working in a changing environment, has excellent communication skills, a willingness to work collaboratively with us to solve issues and able to work across large, multi-functioning organisations.
