Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Housing Officer to work for Luton Council.

Job Purpose

Luton Council's accommodation housing team are looking for two housing officers who will be responsible for delivering a reduction of at least 100 households from the total currently residing in temporary accommodation for three months

Their ideal candidate will need experience of the Open housing I.T system and other administrative systems and processes, performing administrative work within a housing management or similar environment including rent arrears progression.

Candidates will need to demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal and an ability to adjust your communication style to suit your level of audience both internal and external. The role will involve preparing papers for court.

Candidates will need to display good interpersonal skills as you will have to deliver difficult messages to households that will require tact and diplomacy. You must also possess strong influencing skills as part of your promotion of the home-finder U.K. scheme.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a strong ability to deliver to targets and timescales.
