High Level Teaching Assistant

£110 upwards a day

Remedy is looking to appoint a talented and ambitious High Level Teaching Assistant to work within one of our outstanding Primary or Secondary SEN School based in Lambeth.

The School:

The school are looking for someone who can motivate and challenge pupils in a specialist-learning environment. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of working with vulnerable children and a variety of behaviour management strategies to support children with very challenging behaviours. This school will offer professional development and give opportunities to lead small groups of students.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a High-Level Teaching Assistant in an SEN setting.
  • Have already completed the HLTA qualification or NVQ level 4 or equivalent.
  • Have a recognised competence in English and Maths.
  • Understand teaching and learning and who is committed to raising standards.
  • Have a positive attitude and who is loyal to our co-operative values.
  • Have experience of working; or a passion for working with; children with challenging behaviour and can assist and support children who have often found school a challenge.
  • Can engage, inspire, motivate, and build excellent relationships with children.
  • Expertise in supporting students with complex needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and other developmental challenges.
  • The ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment, fostering a sense of belonging for every child.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons that cater to individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Assisting students in their personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Implementing behaviour management plans to promote a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Contributing to the school's ethos of inclusivity and celebrating the unique talents of every student.
