Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Head of Communications to work within Barking and Dagenham Council.

Job Purpose

• To be the lead professional for external and internal communications, marketing, and public relations/publicity within Be First. This includes being the principal professional adviser on communications, public relations, marketing and branding to members of the Be First Senior Management Team, Be First Board and Communications Committee
• Lead development and delivery of integrated marketing, communications and engagement strategy to help deliver Be First's business objectives, promote its achievements and help advance its contribution to delivery of inclusive growth
• Act as principal point of contact for engagement between London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) and Be First in relation to communications, marketing and promotional activity as appropriate, media and press engagement
• Liaising with the Finance Director and members of the Senior Management Team, act as lead commissioner for additional support in relation to communications activities, as and when required: e.g. from LBBD, private providers
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop, promote and embed the Be First brand
• Lead development and management of Be First's internal communications, enabling staff to understand and apply Be First's values to their work, understand Be First's priorities, strategic objectives, challenges and successes. Work with staff at all levels of the organisation to achieve these aims and build an ambitious and energised company culture
