Graduate Teaching Assistant

A great opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and dynamic recent Graduate to join an outstanding secondary school in Lambeth as soon as possible. The role is to support students with SEN on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups as they complete tasks set by teaching staff. You will be working across the curriculum and year groups with students of all ability ranges. The role is ideal for those passionate about working with young people and pursuing a career in education. The school is modern and forward-thinking with staff that are friendly and supportive. Experience of working with young people is desirable. If you are an aspiring teacher, this Graduate Teaching Assistant role is a great way to gain classroom experience and to introduce yourself to an outstanding school.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will:
Have a degree (a 2:2 degree is desirable)
Have a proactive and positive 'can do' attitude
Have excellent communication skills
Have experience of working with young people
Support students on a 1-2-1 basis whilst they complete tasks set by teaching staff
Supervise group activities
Liaise with teaching staff
Be offered training and support
