Q - Are you a Graduate interested in a career working with children with Special Educational Needs?

Q - Do you have previous work or voluntary experience in Makaton, BSL, ASD, Dyslexia or ADHD?

A wonderful 2 form entry Primary School in the London Borough of Greenwich are searching for three Graduates to join them for an ASAP start, as full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants.

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be actively involved in the teaching and learning in school. Your duties will include whole-class support, specialist interventions, 1:1 support and break time supervision. This role is the ideal gateway into careers such as Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Primary School Teaching.

Although previous experience helps, the school are incredibly supportive and have had real success with inexperienced graduates, providing you have the wiliness to work hard, and learn from fellow peers.

Aspiring Primary School Teachers have a possible opportunity to be entered onto the Schools Direct Teacher Training scheme from September 2019, while other Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants will also gain invaluable experience ahead of a possible master's degree.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant x3
  • ASAP Start - Long Term & Full Time
  • £70 - £85 per day
  • Located in the Borough of Greenwich

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Graduate with a 1st class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University
  • Previous work or voluntary experience of working with children with SEN would be of interest
  • Someone interested in a career in Teaching or the wider related Education Sector
  • Ideal experience for Graduates with a Psychology related Degree
  • Experience or qualifications in Makaton, BSL and/or ASD / ABA would also be of interest
