Remedy connects skilled education professionals with schools across London. We are currently recruiting an experienced Food Technician to join a secondary school in East London on a full time, long term basis.

Job Overview:
As a Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting Food Technology practical sessions. The Food Technician will ensure kitchens and practical learning spaces are safe, well organised, and fully prepared for lessons. The ideal Food Technician will have previous experience working in a school environment and a strong understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare ingredients, equipment, and workstations for Food Technology lessons
* Support teachers and students during practical cooking sessions
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety
* Clean and maintain kitchens, appliances, and specialist equipment
* Manage stock including ordering, storage, rotation, and checking expiry dates
* Carry out basic equipment checks and report faults where required
* Keep food rooms, storage areas, and resources organised and secure
* Assist with school events and maintain basic stock records

Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Food Technician or similar role
* Experience working in a school environment is desirable
* Good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and risk assessments
* Confident supporting students during practical lessons
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
