About Us:
Remedy is recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Ilford IG6 for a committed Family Liaison Officer. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building strong relationships between school, families, and the wider community.

Job Overview:
As a Family Liaison Officer, you will act as the key link between the school and parents, ensuring effective communication and providing support on issues such as attendance, behaviour, mid-term admissions, and student welfare. The successful Family Liaison Officer will also work closely with the pastoral team to improve engagement with hard-to-reach families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee communication between the school and families.

  • Conduct attendance and punctuality review meetings with parents and students.

  • Support families of EAL and disadvantaged students through workshops, coffee mornings, and one-to-one sessions.

  • Assist with mid-term admissions and integration of new students.

  • Run mentoring groups to improve behaviour and well being.

  • Promote high standards of attendance and behaviour in line with school policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a school or youth support environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to engage with families from diverse backgrounds.

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
