Job description
I am currently working with a school who require an English teacher who is confident teaching those with challenging behaviour in a PRU (Pupil referral unit).
This is a well supported PRU in South East London, Greenwich, which caters for pupils with challenging behaviours that have been referred from mainstream education.
They require a strong and enthusiastic English teacher for a long-term role to start September 2018.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching children with SEMH needs or are open to working with challenging behaviour and experience in teaching English to these pupils. Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate and strong behaviour techniques and approach is needed. We are looking for newly qualified teachers or those with more experience. Qualified teachers with an interest in moving into SEN/SEND are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Recent experience and a genuine passion for teaching SEN/SEND pupils is desirable. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK. To apply for a teaching position holding UK QTS is essential.
