If you answered yes to all of the above then please apply for this role, Remedy are seeking a qualified English Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Barnet North London.
My client most recently rated "GOOD" by Ofsted has a philosphy that supports the view that every young person deserves an education which enables them to make outstanding progress. Their programmes support the empowerment of young people to overcome the barriers which are preventing them from being able to engage in mainstream education.
I am currently seeking a qualified English Teacher who has previous experience teaching students in KS3 and KS4 who have challenging behaviour and SEMH. All the students in this school have challenging behaviour and find it hard to express their emotions at times, we are ideally looking for someone who is restraint trained and can deal with these students.
The school is a mixed school and has around 80 students with very small classes to manage behaviour. The school is based in Barnet with amazing facilities. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and are easy to get along with, we are looking for someone who is able to fit comfortably into this this team and support all students.
You MUST have:
* A clear and current DBS
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching English
* Experience with challenging behaviour
